I’m building Ampi, a free music player inspired by Winamp

I miss Winamp’s skins and being able to change the whole player, so I started building Ampi.

The macOS version is still early, but playback, an equalizer, and partial Classic skin support are working. Windows and Linux versions are planned too.

It’s free and open source under GPLv3. Anyone’s welcome to help with code, themes, testing, or ideas.

[Gothic][Mature][Interactive] The Lamplit Sister — A woman returns to her family's crumbling estate after 17 years. The house remembers what they tried to forget. And her dead sister's lamp is still burning.

Seventeen years ago, I shut the broken iron gate of Ashmore behind me and swore I'd never come back. Now the solicitor's letter has called me home — a roof that wants attention, grounds gone to woodland, a house that has outlasted everyone it was built to shelter.

The letter was careful. It dealt in facts, not impressions. So it didn't mention the one thing I saw from the lane before I'd even reached the door:

Clara's lamp is still burning. And Clara has been dead a long time.

The Lamplit Sister is a slow-burn gothic about a family's buried secret, and a house that won't let it stay buried. The lamp will not go out until the truth is spoken aloud — and you decide whether to speak it.

What makes it different: it's interactive. The story branches on what you choose to uncover, what you confront, and what you'd rather leave in the dark. Different paths, different endings.

Genre: Gothic / family horror
Length: 4 chapters per branch
Tone: atmospheric, dread-building, not gory
Content: Mature
Also available in 50+ languages — so if English isn't your first language, you can read it in yours.

Read it (and choose your path) here: https://story.moja-app.com/story/60/

If you give it a go, I'd love to know how far into the house you were willing to look. 👀
