Delivery help
I used to deliver in DC and would usually finish my route in around 7–8 hours including check in, RTS, and unloading bags. My DC routes were usually around 300 packages but only 40–60 stops with a lot of apartments and grouped neighborhoods. I recently switched DSPs and started doing Maryland routes. Today was my first day there and I had 101 stops with long driveways and a lot of backing in. I felt like I was moving pretty fast, following itinerary, and finding packages without much trouble, but dispatch kept saying I was falling behind so I got rescued halfway through. I ended up completing around 80 of the 101 stops, then helped rescue another driver with 20 more stops after. I know people do 170+ stops so I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong or tips for when my routes get harder with more stops. I just don’t understand how went from fastest dc deliverer to being the slowest(no joke) on a nursery route.
