Outlook Experts Needed – I Somehow Broke Reality 😅
Hey Guys,
I am having a very strange issue with my Outlook app on my Windows 11 workstation. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office, but Outlook is still having the exact same problem.
How it started:
Basically… I messed up 😅
I type insanely fast, and obviously when you are moving at light speed, sometimes random key combinations happen without realizing it. Somehow I hit a mix of keys involving CTRL and a few others within a span of a couple of seconds, and ever since then Outlook has been acting completely broken.
At one point it literally said something along the lines of “Enjoy your empty inbox,” and suddenly all my emails disappeared back to October 2025. Thankfully, the web version is completely fine.
What I have tried so far:
- Sync/update folders
- Remove and re-add the account
- Full uninstall/reinstall of Microsoft Office
Main issues:
- Outlook freezes when trying to update folders
- The account will not properly remove/re-add
- Save / Apply / OK buttons seem to do nothing
- Even after reinstalling Office, the exact same issue remains
It almost feels like the Outlook profile or local cache is corrupted and surviving the uninstall.
Any help would be greatly appreciated because at this point Outlook is basically possessed 😂
