[Longine] Some advice for a vintage watch

I was lucky to obtain this longine flagship (I believe) from a friend who was going to donate it! Luckily it is still running too. My question though is that it has this horrible stretchy band on it which I don't think it came with, would you recommend beads of rice or a milanese band? Or something else entirely different? Looking for some advice.

Also bonus tip if anyone could help I've heard of ways to help polish the acrylic, I have read about the toothpaste trick, can anyone give me some insight in what I can do to help polish it up just a little bit most of the scratches look surface level.

[Tissot] Giving a Tissot a second life!

I actually found this Tissot PRS516 at my work and no one claimed it after public announcements so I got to keep it it. Unfortunately the date window came loose but found a local watch maker who fixed it for me for a great price (cheaper than the dealership). The strap that was attached didn't fit me and lacked extra links and so I never wore the watch. But then I brought a new strap and fell in love with it, much more my style, I haven't taken it off for days! Makes me so happy to bring it a second life!
