I've played almost the entire game and haven't even seen a need to use any of the consumables. Why did they put so much effort into basically a useless mechanic.

Also, what's the point of the junk? Just to have something to pick up in the containers? Can't be broken down into other materials and sells for pennies.

The amount of guns you can get is also absurd. Did any of you actually use the crafting system for anything?

I feel like they just included these elements because other games did, and they completely fumbled the execution of the systems.

All of it literally serves no purpose.
