Introduction: I’m running Shadowdark’s introductory dungeon, The Lost Citadel of the Scarlet Minotaur for up to 4 players using Foundry VTT. I’ve been DMing mostly 5e for around 7 years and want to try running Shadowdark. New and experienced players are welcome. 

Date/Time: Saturday, June 13th, 12-3 pm PST. 

Tone: Shadowdark is advertised as very lethal for everyone involved, both the players and enemies typically have low hitpoints. Darkest Dungeon would probably be the closest tonal reference. If you’re looking for something with a dark fantasy tone, or even a doomed expedition feel, Shadowdark might be for you. 

Premise: The Lost Citadel has been rediscovered. While initially met with celebration, it wasn’t long before the mention of the citadel was regarded with ill omen. Most who enter don’t return, and those who do are shunned out of fear despite their new-found wealth. Unfortunately, you need the money. Perhaps your business went under, or your savings were stolen during a bandit raid. Either way, you and your compatriots need a miracle in order to retire and the riskiest work pays the best. 

Goal: Your party needs to get out of the dungeon with at least 400 gold pieces worth of treasure in order for everyone to retire.
