05 4.0 start but dies immediately or won't start at all
Okay, as the title states got a 05 4.0, the other day was driving and acted like it was following on its face. And then it died, and would not start back previous to this.Been having idle surge at idle and some weird issue with the feeling like it is missing. Sometimes around fifty five mile an hour, but I give it a little more gas, and it goes away. It don't do it all the time, but the surging. It does no matter what hot cold. I just started up anytime. It does it, so I have replaced, fuel filter plugs wires, and that's it so far.It has 280k on odo, do not know maintenance history. If timing chains have been done or not, but I believe they have due to the cab being replaced a whole cab off basically cause a tree fell on it, and the previous owner said that he did some things while he was doing that. So I'm hoping that's one of the things that was done anyways. The only code I am getting is a p 0443 which is evap system? Oh yeah. And I have swapped out the purge valve with a known working one, just to see if that would work.And there was no change. But the thing is, when it does start up, it sounds fine. Runs, fine? And then it just flat out dies, even if you try to pump the gas, it still dies. I'm at a loss here. Also I have check the fuel pump trip. And even bypass it just to check and see if that could be it.And it wasn't
I'm wondering if it could be crank position sensor or the actual fuel pump going out for the relay or whatever Google said was under the fuel box like a relay. I haven't had a chance to check them yet
I know the fuel pressure should be sixty p s I i am going to check it tomorrow but many and all help would be greatly appreciated.Need my truck, so I can get back and forth to work next week.So like I said, any help would be appreciated
