Valve cover replacement
Hey guys so I was doing a job on my valve cover gasket when I accidentally stripped the inside of it near the high pressure valve so I replaced it and I’m trying to sit it flush in my engine but I won’t sit where it needs to, it’s been 8 days and I’m losing my sanity, nothing is under it when I try to place it down but the right side of the valve cover sits a lil closer closed and the left side it lifted and I don’t want to use the bolts cause I don’t wanna crack it, it seems the cams are in the way and I don’t know how to move them without doing everlasting damage to either my engine or timing chain, I have a Audi a4 b8 2.0 the cams looks slightly off when I changed it, i literally popped the last valve cover off I unbolted the high pressure fuel pump like an idiot but on the good side I’m doing everything right except sitting the valve cover flush, I literally just bought this car as a project car and well it’s emphasizing that Project very well. Any help from other mechanics. 🧰
