Built to solve my own problem and got a different kind of attention so far
So I built Relentless Identity (email finder and verification) as an internal, backend API for my own workflows and was so obsessed with precision that I occasionally realized there are no tools like it out there today.
I already got a handful of students using free accounts and emailing recruiters reaching out to me in X saying they got a reply.
A lot of people in this cold email space think that all tools claim to be accurate but, in fact, most are on their own terms only. it's so frustrating being an user of these tools and actually having most of them fail for your most critical leads.
I've seen so few people nowadays know how to put together a campaign and actually get good results from cold email. Sometimes, lists tend to get even smaller than they already were because of targeting and personalization.
I run an agency and I've seen most SaaS apparently try to "own" their cold email strategy when really not all have a good cold traffic offer for email.
It was only after building RI that I managed to finally email with proper strategy all the gateway protected domain people (sorry); those using Mimecast, Barracuda, Proofpoint, . These gate emails hard and have multiple filters without fear of blocking a legitimate email.
The public API for RI was built initially for marketing people but then I realized it could serve identity verification SaaS companies or any other SaaS that needs accurate, usable email addresses all the time without having to send an email. I haven't run even run any campaigns yet for RI but students are definitely not my target audience.
It's also never a bad time to remember that it's only spam if you're sending a poorly positioned offer on email that isn't relevant at the time.
