Caring for 3 children under 2

I currently care for a 5 month old and 8 month in a nanny/share. The 8 month old is who I originally cared for but me and the family decided to do a nanny-share in order to keep me and increase my pay and to provide more coverage. The nanny-share is Mon, Tue, Thu, and Friday for 19 hours and I care for the 8 month old outside an additional 9 hours a week outside of the nanny-share.

It of course has its difficulties because they are in different developmental stages but I absolutely love caring for them and both families are very and amazing and we have great communication! I also have a contract with each family and then a joint nanny-share contract with all of the families.

My 1st NM with the 8mo is expecting another baby in late December of this year, she will be on maternity leave so I won’t have to care for the new baby till around April 2026. By that time, both kids will be toddlers… I have carried for multiple children from the same household and I’ve also worked at a daycare center but it’s different since this is a nanny-share. I’m not too sure how this would work especially since this is my first nanny-share.

I have in the contract that if there is an additional child, I would receive no less than a 10% raise which is fine but there’s a lot I’m worried about and I wonder how I should approach this or if the nanny-share would still be possible. Should I wait until after the baby is born to talk with the parents about this or before?

I would love any tips or advice!
