Sunny Bunch on Hunter Biden
Just listened to the Takes with Sonny, Sam and JVL, on Hunter Biden's tweets. Sonny ripped Hunter apart and called him a terrible, garbage person. "An amoral sociopath."
Have I been completely snowed by Hunter? I find his media presence right now refreshing. He comes across as a real but flawed human being. I don't want him to run for office, and I don't want him to be the Dems' mythical Joe Rogan figure. I'd like to move on from the Bidens entirely, but Republicans are going to keep invoking him so I'm glad he can answer back effectively.
I'm not defending or stanning for the Bidens. I know Hunter was a huge liability for Democrats for a long time, I'm mad at all the Bidens for keeping Joe in the race as long as they did, and I wish Jill Biden would end her book tour yesterday.
But I don't think his relapse is inevitable, as Sonny said. (And frankly think that's a cruel thing to say.) I read Hunter's book and listened to him on Candace (!). He's incredibly articulate and compelling about addiction. Coming from a family that's been defined by addiction, I think his perspective is valuable, because it's a topic that's so misunderstood by so many people.
Is it generally accepted that Hunter is a garbage person?
