Is using Jumper Wires in my pc Dangerous?

Is using Jumper Wires in my pc Dangerous?

I don't have enough fan headers on my motherboard for the amount of fans. I'm too impatient to wait/buy a fan splitter, so i've created this brilliance. I'd love to know 2 things:

  1. am I endangering my pc by doing this?
  2. my bios cant seem to read the fan rpm, how do i fix?

Im pretty much a beginner when it comes to this stuff, so any help is great. My biggest fear of this is that the wires will break my PC due to limits im unaware of.

Im currently splitting 1 header into 2 fans, i believe it is wired in parallel. The fans are 3 pin. The gorgeous beige taped to the wall is a breadboard.
I think that the 3rd pin of the fan is responsible for monitoring rpm, and i heard that merging that 3rd pin is confusing for the pc. Because of this, i only have one fan connected to that 3rd pin.
