North American Actors, Should I apply to This indie project?
Hey I just want to preface this by saying I’m new to Reddit but I’m not really new to acting, Ive been asking around but haven’t gotten to many responses from people I know irl.
I could use some advice from people who’ve been in the indie/collab space a bit longer.
I found an unpaid casting call for a collab film being directed by and starring **Devi Mboto**. His name actually sounded familiar so I went down a bit of a rabbit hole on his Instagram and Facebook. From what I can tell he’s genuinely a really solid actor & model and his past work looks pretty solid.
What’s throwing me off is the project itself. The casting call and promo stuff look **really** polished, and he mentioned that if it gets enough traction it could turn into a limited indie series, which is cool, but I can’t tell if this is actually going to be a strong project or more of a really well marketed sizzle reel situation, I mean He’s a **TEENAGER**, I worry if I don’t atleast try it’s gonna get funding and lead to something big and I’m gonna regret it, but if it films and just stays as a free indie collab, then it might not be worth it to me.
Have any of you heard of it?
