Tragedy at its most gruesome moment
have been obsessed with the show since the first season premiered. to me, it’s the greatest piece of television ever.
my girlfriend had never seen an episode, for THREE years I bit my tongue with comments and jokes because I knew we would watch it one day together. we’re currently long distance for the year, and we’ve been going through our first watch together, an episode here and there. she loves it, and she was set up purely for the biggest gut punch, thinking that Logan was going to beat the kids in the finale.
last night was the night. it was time for Connor’s wedding. im so excited I can’t contain it, i‘m an absolute little squirt when it comes to giving stuff away and my ADHD has almost let it slip so many times, but I’ve been so good, for three years. so so so intentionally good. i have the episode ready to go on my tv, she clicks on succession on hers, and then it happens…
for some reason HBO jumped ahead to a random episode which feature a recap that in the FIRST SHOT was Logan’s funeral. and boom… it was done. I’m not exaggerating when I say, as a 30 year old, somewhat-well-adjusted man, I inconsolable, fight tears for the rest of the evening.
I woke up today and it feels like trauma hit my body 😭😭😭.
