I tried a wavy hair routine and have mixed feelings

Hi yall!

The other day I made a post about me being unsure if my hair is wavy or damaged and got recommended some products and to do a wavy hair routine.

I went to a drugstore today and purchased some cheap products just to see if it will do anything. I can list the products if anyone is interested.

I did a leave-in, some kind of curl-shaping cream and mouse on top.

My hair after air-drying (I dont have a diffuser) turned out half-straight half-wavy. I am just wondering what I did wrong in my routine, is it products I used or is it the fact that I deluded myself that I have waves.

My question is, should I keep trying with diffuser/better products or is it hopeless?

Should I try wavy hair routine?

Hello guys!

I apologize for any mistakes since I am not a native english speaker.

My whole life I have been told I have straight hair even though it was curly when I was a child. Now that I am getting more into haircare I have noticed some stuff about my hair that I am not sure if it’s just bleach damage or wavy patterns.

For example, my hair is extremely puffy on my roots after I wash it and when I just blow dry it it has texture which you can see in first posted picture. When I air dry my hair, it has a couple of wavy strands but mostly straight (second picture is my hair after airdrying for around 2 hours). I should probably add that I have fine hair that is pretty oily, it is completely oily one day after washing (I always wash my hair twice with two different shampoos).

The pictures included is my hair with no products in it except for being washed.

My question is, should I try wavy hair routine or is it just bleach damage that is making my hair textured?

Thank you for your advice and input in advance 🙏
