Dell Latitude 7430 Refubrished
Currently using a Dell Latitude 5540 with:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 155U
- 32GB RAM
I’m considering buying a refurbished Dell Latitude 7430 and trying to understand how much of a downgrade it would actually be.
The 7430 specs:
- Intel Core i7-1265U / 12650U (seller page mentions both)
- 32GB DDR4
- 256GB SSD
- 14” WUXGA touchscreen
- Thunderbolt 4
- 63Wh battery
Usage:
- Heavy multitasking
- Lots of Chrome tabs
- Excel / BI dashboards
- SQL / Python
- AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
- General business/travel laptop
Main questions:
- How noticeable is the performance gap between the Ultra 7 155U and the 12th gen i7 in daily real-world use?
- Is battery life significantly worse on the 7430?
- Is the Latitude 7430 still considered a high-end business laptop in 2026?
- Overall, would this feel like a downgrade or just an older enterprise machine that still holds up well?
- Anything important to check when buying a refurbished Latitude?
Would appreciate input from anyone who used both generations or owns a 7430.
Price offer I have is 880 usd any thought ?
Thanks
