My dad was in an accident 2.5 months ago and had the following procedures done/ diagnosis.

*Postoperative Cervical spinal cord contusion from C2 to C7 due to trauma

*Cervical spinal canal stenosis from C3 to C7

*Cervical spondylolisthesis at C5-C6

He can move his neck and shoulders normally.

He slowly gains little movement in both his fingers.

His right leg is significantly stronger than his left leg, but still cannot beat gravity.

Bowl and urinating needs to be supported by medical equipment.

Is there any hope for self-reliance? As he needs a medical lift to get in the wheelchair and it breaks my heart to watch that everytime.
