How likely can I transfer accoms on results day?

I just booked moonraker, only because my deadline is tomorrow and I’ve barely seen any new releases the past week and yesterday.

I suppose it’s not the worst option, but I would really prefer either SSA, which is closer(to strand) and more social, or Hayloft, that is nicer and also probably more social. The only reason I’m booking accoms is for meeting people.

I know swapping with another student in October is possible but I’d rather it not get to that point.

Would it be possible to call up the accom team on results day and ask to transfer to either of those?
From what I’ve seen online, the answer is really mixed. Any help would be really appreciated!

Accom advice please

I’ve firmed for PPE so I’ll be on strand.

I’m trying to decide between SSA, Moonraker, and Hayloft. I know GDSA is well liked but I heard it’s more for the guy’s campus students?

Both social life and quality of the actual accom is pretty important to me. The latter is why I’m considering Hayloft, but I’m not sure about the long distance and being in East London.

Other than that, I don’t actually know what the significant differences are between SSA and Moonraker specifically. Cost isn’t an issue, so any advice would be really helpful, thanks!

Accom confusion

I just firmed KCL and went on the accom portal and this is what I saw?

I don’t think I’ve registered, but I have no idea how and where I’m supposed to register interest when the only email related to accom I’ve received is that it’s open from April.

I tried using the telephone and email links but they both lead to dead websites, and I know KCL admin is notoriously bad so I’m asking for help here.

Any help would be really appreciated because this system is so confusing.

UCL is playing pranks rn

You’re telling me I’m going to be walking into my exam hall with “application received”? Are they taking the piss??

If it’s oversubscribed then just reject me ffs not leave UCAS to reject me by default??

Either they’ve lost my application to the void or they’re genuinely taking names out of a hat to reject people and leaving the rest to the 13th.
