Starting microdose… suggestions?

Hi all! I was just approved for the microdose program with compounded semagulatide. I am currently 126 at 5’2” - I rapidly gained about 20-25 pounds that I have not been able to lose, despite macro counting aggressively with a dietician.

I am excited and nervous. If anyone has any recommendations or success stories, I would love to hear them. I will be starting at .05mg for the first two weeks.

So stuck and so discouraged… any tips and motivation?

I’m a 5’2” 37 year old woman stuck in a fat loss journey for two years.

The short version of the story: about two years ago I got back on birth control (after some time off for egg freezing). I started Mirena (after having been on the pill for years). Between that and some other life changes/stressors I went from 102 pounds (which I was consistently at for years), to 120 pounds in the span of 7 months. I had also been very active prior, and became less active in that time. I got off birth control made some other changes and then about a year ego, started working with a dietician and getting more active again. In the middle of 2025 (last year) I lost some weight, and reached a low of 109. Then, unfortunately due to some other medication changes (non- birth control) and a bad bout of COVID, I gained it all back and then some and now sit at 125. For the past year I have been working with a dietician, consistently counting and tracking macros, weighing and measuring food, and being meticulous. I have also gotten labs done through my PCP and everything looks normal. My dietician and I just decided last week to take a brief break from macro tracking - it was taking over my life - and focusing instead on resistance training, which is newer to me (I am a big cardio girl).

I feel so stuck; my current plan is to eat intuitively with what I learned from a year of meticulously tracking, incorporating 2-3x a week of strength training and trying to get 10K steps. I feel so defeated though. I know I am in a smaller body which makes it harder, but I feel like I am trying to do everything right.

Any tips or similar experiences?
