Husband cheated while I was in hospital
I’m 33, a SAHM, married for 13 years, and we have a 9 year old child.
My husband (40) has been having an affair with his ex-secretary (24) for the last one and a half years. I found out about it last year, there were fights, crying, promises, all of that. A few months ago she got transferred to another city and I thought maybe things would finally end.
Last week I had a minor surgery and stayed in the hospital for two days. My husband told me attendants were not allowed to stay overnight, so he booked a hotel nearby.
Because of his past affair, I have developed terrible anxiety and I do check his phone sometimes, sometimes everyday. This time my suspicions were confirmed.
He forgot to delete the messages.
While I was in the hospital, he spent the night with her in the hotel beside it. The same nights he was telling me he was alone and sounded overtly concerned about my well being at the hospital. I am so naive that I couldn't make out those fake calls of concern and care. Imagine my husband screwing while I was in hospital and my kid was with his grandparents. What an act!
I haven’t confronted him yet. I genuinely cannot process his audacity.
The thing is, I know he probably won’t leave me and our child for that vamp. We belong to rural India and in our families divorce is far less common. Women are mostly taught to adjust and keep the family together no matter what.
Right now I just feel so defeated and dumb.
