How can I look the best for my engagement in 3 months?
Age: 25. Height: 5’10 weight:240-260 (I refuse to step on a scale because I am ashamed at how far I’ve let myself go).
I have put on a lot of weight in the past 5-6 years. I work from home so I have not been very active at all during that time and haven’t touched a gym since 2019. I’ve been very inactive, ate garbage, and I’m very out of shape. I am proposing on Aug 30th and this past Monday I decided to change my life and get healthy because I refuse to look back and regret looking fat in my engagement & wedding. In the three days since I’ve started I have ate an average of around 950-1000 calories. My diet is strictly light tuna, salmon, chicken, lean beef, veggies, & fruit. I am going to the gym 2-3 times a week for lifting & cardio, and on days that I don’t I will do a combo of pushups, squats, planks, and other at home exercises. When I’m not working out I am very lazy. I am 100% mentally strong enough to stick to this, but I also know that 1000 calories at my size is way too aggressive. I just want to look the absolute best I can without sacrificing my health. I’m willing to go to the extreme for 3 months and then transition into a much more sustainable diet after, but I’m not educated enough on dieting and exercising to really know what the best path is to look the best in 3 months.
Also for context I don’t eat breakfast and I only eat like a banana or something for lunch. I’ve been like that since high school, it’s just how I am. Before I workout I’ll eat 150-200 calories of a protein. 80% of my calories come from dinner.
