Persistent Tingling After EBV – Normal Tests but Symptoms Won’t Go Away

Hi everyone,
I’m a 29-year-old female and about a year ago I was diagnosed with EBV (Epstein–Barr virus). At the time, the symptoms were manageable, but ever since then I’ve been dealing with constant tingling in my hands and feet 24/7, and sometimes a buzzing/vibrating sensation throughout my whole body.
I’ve already had several tests done:
Nerve conduction studies came back normal
No vitamin B12 deficiency
Lumbar puncture was also unremarkable
The tingling is extremely distressing and so far no doctor has been able to really help me or explain what’s going on.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced something similar after EBV, or if there are any treatments, supplements, medications, or approaches that might help with the tingling. I’d also really appreciate any explanation of why EBV could cause these symptoms even when the standard tests are normal.
Thank you so much in advance for any advice or insight.

Persistent tingling after EBV – what helped you?

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with EBV about a year ago. My initial symptoms weren’t too severe, but ever since then I’ve been dealing with persistent tingling sensations.

It mainly feels like needle-like tingling in my hands and feet. Sometimes it also spreads as a sort of buzzing or vibrating sensation throughout my body. On bad days I even notice tingling in my lips and teeth.

I’ve read that neurological symptoms like this can happen after EBV, and I’m really curious if anyone here has experienced something similar.

If you had this kind of tingling, what helped you the most to reduce it or make it go away? Did anything in particular improve it over time?

Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated.
