I [29 F] am approximately 9 weeks pregnant. I had my first appointment last week and the pictures absolutely were not discernible besides a heart beat. It was transabdominal, not vaginal. I have access to an US at work and decided to check in on baby. It’s not a great ultrasound, but it works okay. I got one last week that looked like a blob. Today, I did it and it really didn’t look like a blob, but not a baby either. It was very close to my uterine wall and while I saw a heartbeat, I saw no gummy bear, no head, no arm like appendages. I’m not sure if I should be concerned and ask my OB about an actual dating US/transvaginal since I’m really not sure my true LMP.

Should I be concerned or chalk it up to my own incompetence?
