Questions/Experiences on Doses

Hello! I'm at a Concerta crossroads and looking for advice. I have been on 27mg generic concerta for about 3 months. I started on IR Ritalin, moved up to 18mg concerta, then up to 27mg and have stayed there for a while. My first month and a half I was on the Trigen generic, and I really liked it! Which is surprising because it seems like most people don't. Then, my pharmacy (one inside of Costco) has only been getting Activis/Teva brand. I feel like it doesn't work good enough. With the Trigen I can feel the 3 specific releases but on the activis I only get 2 and I end up needing to use a 5mg IR Ritalin booster at 5pm, and sometimes another at 7pm.

I trialed Focalin because I was frustrated at the inconsistencies of the generic concerta, I did not like it at all. It made me very fight or flighty.

I'm currently trialing 36mg generic concerta, activis/teva because that's all my pharmacy has. Yesterday definitely hit me like a freight train around 9:30am (I took it at 8am) I felt so wired I had to go take a few laps at work to calm down because I couldn't sit still or focus. It just felt like it hit a lot all at once, and then after that initial jolt it felt more subtle throughout the day and I didn't need my booster at night.

I'm undecided on what to do. My options are stay on the 27mg and take a bunch of boosters throughout the day. Move up to 36mg and see how that goes, maybe have 1 booster, or to switch to Vyvanse.

If any of you are on boosters, how many do you take and when? I'm basically taking the equivalent of 36mg or more when I'm pairing the 27mg with boosters anyways. I'm not sure if it's better to just do it that way or stick to the 36mg.

I found a pharmacy in town that can reliably get the Trigen brand if that's what I want, in whatever strength I settle on.

TLDR: Concerta dosage and boosters throughout the day? What's your experience with those? Undecided on 27mg vs 36mg
