Professor Recommendations

Hey guys! Im a human biology major at Marist and I was wondering if anyone had any specific professor suggestions for the following classes? I want to start planning for registration in the future and getting an A is non-negotiable for me.

- Technology for the 21st Century (CMPT103L)
- Statistics II
- Calc I
- General Chem II
- General Chem II Lab
- Writing for College
- Intro to the Health Professions
- Microbiology
-Genetics
- Human Anatomy I
- Intro to Psych
- Organic Chem
- Organic Chem lab

I am NOT signing up for all of these in one semester, I just wanted to plan ahead. Thanks!!

USF Tampa transfer advice

Hi! I’m currently a Human Biology major on the pre-PA track and a commuter at Marist University in New York (upstate NY, not NYC). My family is moving to Florida next year, so I’m considering transferring to USF Tampa for Fall 2027, after my freshman year.

By the time I transfer, I’ll have completed some of my pre-reqs that I would need as a freshman human bio major from Marist.

I also have dual enrollment credits from HS that fulfill a lot of my pre-reqs,(I can discuss more in the comments if there are questions).

I’m mainly wondering if it’s worth transferring from a small, expensive private school to a much more affordable, larger public university. Is USF a good school for pre-PA students? Would you recommend Biomedical Sciences or Human Biology?

I’m also curious about the transfer experience. How easy was it to make friends as a transfer student (especially if you commute)? How early should someone apply?

I can also discuss questions about my High School stats in the comments as well!

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s transferred to USF or is on the pre-PA track. Thanks sm!!

Is USF Tampa worth transferring to?

Hi! I’m currently a Human Biology major on the pre-PA track and a commuter at Marist University in New York (upstate NY, not NYC). My family is moving to Florida next year, so I’m considering transferring to USF Tampa for Fall 2027, after my freshman year.

By the time I transfer, I’ll have completed General Chemistry I & II with labs, English, Philosophy, and other general education courses.

I also have 21 dual enrollment credits from HS, including General Biology I & II, Statistics, American History I & II, and Intermediate French.

Did most of your credits transfer, even if you came from an out-of-state school? How early should I apply?

In high school, I had 95 weighted GPA in high school, 21 dual enrollment credits, 1090 SAT, and a solid extracurricular/work background), do I have a good chance of getting in or receiving transfer scholarships?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s transferred to USF or is on the pre-PA track. Thanks sm!!
