Title: Is something like this actually useful for studying or just another gimmick?
I’ve been struggling to stay consistent with studying — found something that actually helps a bit

Post:

Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I find it really hard to stay consistent when studying.

I’ll start off motivated, then slowly drift into distractions, lose track of time, and end up not doing nearly as much as I planned.

Group study sometimes helps, but it usually ends up being unstructured or people working at completely different paces.

Recently I came across a study tool called StudiesTimer, and it’s been surprisingly useful so far.

It’s basically a structured study timer system, but with a focus on keeping people aligned.

What stood out to me:

  • ⏱️ Shared timers so everyone studies in sync
  • 👥 Small group study rooms for accountability
  • 🎯 Focus sessions that reduce distractions
  • 📊 Simple progress tracking so you can see consistency over time

What I like is that it feels less like “another productivity app” and more like a way to make study sessions actually structured — especially if you study with others.

I’m curious if anyone else has tried something like this, or if you think tools like this actually help long-term or if it’s just another short-term motivation boost?
