Nothing Solves Climate Absolutism Faster Than Separatist Pressure

Alberta starts rattling the separatism cage.

For years Canadians were told:
• pipelines were basically immoral,
• oil and gas had to be phased out,
• carbon taxes would save the planet,
• and everyone just needed to accept higher costs “for the transition.”

Meanwhile people got crushed by:
• groceries exploding in price,
• housing becoming unreachable,
• energy bills climbing,
• and stagnant wages getting eaten alive by inflation.

But now? Suddenly Ottawa is discovering the importance of:
• “national unity,”
• “energy security,”
• “responsible resource development,”
• and “working collaboratively with Alberta.”

What changed? Did carbon stop mattering? Or did separatism suddenly become politically inconvenient?

Because it sure looks like the federal government under realized western alienation might actually have consequences beyond angry tweets.

Funny how fast priorities shift.

An extended 'honeymoon' not seen since Ralph Klein: poll shows strong support for UCP | CBC News

SS:Nenshi is a worthless candidate. If you want to win this province you’ll have to put a real candidate in the race.

Last checked your party is imploding both federally and provincially.
