I’m not writing a fan ending, this is more for fun and to practice my character analysis for my own stories.

My ideal ending would be that Homelander takes over and when he finally reveals himself as the God Emperor the people finally rebel and he realizes no one loves him. Them showing that the audience didn’t love Homelander being Jesus’ successor is a good way to show that people aren’t stupid and we can fight off tyranny when we really want to. We just get caught in the hysteria and mob mentality.

They’ve tried to show Homelander as not caring what people think but he keeps falling back into love and affection. He still wants Madeline’s love, he still wants his fathers love, he finally shook off his need for Ryan and firecracker, but he still thinks that no matter what he does the people truly love him. They need to show him getting hit with reality and actually touching grass instead of listening to polls and marketing. Once he sees the truth he’ll go all out and kill a bunch of people or try to destroy the country as the fragile manbaby they’ve made him out to be. He will have a hissy fit.

There has to be a HUGE fight, RYAN vs HOMELANDER rematch but with support from some of the other boys like MM and could’ve been frenchie if he didn’t die. This way Ryan can have a better performance against HL. Throw in some of the other supes that betray HL like the guy with the gas. Marie holds him down so Kimiko hits him with her ray but it only takes away his V1 not all of his super powers. Starlight and Hughie have some cool teamup moment to weaken him and then Butcher holds him down with his tentacles while he unleashes the virus killing them both.

I think the deep and sage can be handled separately. Like the deep can be killed by Starlight by her flying him over the open ocean and dropping him in. I think they’re going to try to have the deep try to redeem himself but he fails just like everything he’s ever tried to save.

Sage is just a mess, but her being killed by her own stupid ideas would be neat. Oh Father being killed by an angry Homelander when he’s not worshipped the way he’s been told. Etc

This doesn’t mean I agree with the direction the show has taken. I’m just trying to find the best way to end it with what we have been given. If I could rewrite it all over again I would change a lot more.

I’ve been sitting on this for a while and I think the pieces fit pretty well. Bear with me.

The Core Claim
Daenerys Targaryen is not the daughter of Aerys and Rhaella. She is the daughter of Aerys Targaryen and Ashara Dayne. Stay with me.
Her true name is encoded in plain sight: Daen (Dayne) + erys (Aerys) = Daenerys.
GRRM hides secrets in names often. This would be consistent.

The Setup: What We Know
Aerys was violently abusive toward Rhaella. He raped her regularly.
After Rhaegar’s betrayal at Harrenhal and eventual death on the Trident, Aerys, paranoid, broken, desperate for another male heir, or for prophesy, raped both his wife and Ashara Dayne, who was at court as a lady-in-waiting.
Both Rhaella and Ashara became pregnant at roughly the same time.
Aerys, in his paranoia, sent Rhaella and Viserys to Dragonstone for safety before the Sack of King’s Landing. Ashara, now visibly pregnant, with nowhere safe to go, went with them.
Evidence: she is not mentioned as being in Kings Landing during the sack or else Ned would have seen her when he came later.

The Storm
Rhaella gave birth during the worst storm in living memory. This is canon. What the books don’t linger on is the chaos of that night.
Dragonstone during wartime is not the Red Keep. There is no full royal court, no army of attendants. Aerys’s paranoia would have sent the minimum servants and knights with Rhaella. When the storm hits, servants are scrambling to fix damage and tend to the injured. In the middle of all this, there are less eyes on the event that transpired, two women give birth at the same time.
Rhaella’s child dies and Rhaella dies with it.
Ser Willem Darry, the most loyal Targaryen knight alive, is left holding a dead heir to a dying dynasty and a bastard girl with violet eyes.

Willem Darry’s Decision
This is the turning point. Darry looks at Ashara’s living daughter, the daughter of Aerys Targaryen, half Targaryen by blood, and makes a choice. He will not let the dynasty end with Viserys.
Ashara had no say. Her daughter was taken from her.
Darry tells Viserys, who is eight years old, traumatized, and watching his mother’s funeral, that he has a baby sister named Daenerys. Viserys believes him. Why wouldn’t he?
Darry escapes with both children to the Free Cities. Stannis arrives to take Dragonstone and finds nothing but Ashara. During this time, Ned is making his way to the Tower of Joy.

Ashara’s Death
Stannis sends Ashara home by ship. She arrives at Starfall before Ned reaches it.
Ned is coming to return Dawn after killing her brother Arthur at the Tower of Joy. When he arrives, Ashara tells him everything. They had loved each other at Harrenhal. They had wanted to marry. Instead: Ned is married to Catelyn for duty, has a “bastard son” from the war, and her own daughter has been stolen and carried into exile under another woman’s name.
She has been raped by the Mad King. She has lost her child. She has lost Ned. She has lost her brother.
She throws herself from the tower.
In the canon reading, Ashara’s suicide seems almost disproportionate, grief over a stillborn and a rejection. In this version, it is the only ending that makes sense.

Why Ned Won’t Kill Daenerys
In Season 1 / AGOT, Ned resigns as Hand rather than participate in the assassination of Daenerys. The standard reading is that this is simply Ned’s honor, he won’t murder children.
But Ned’s reaction goes beyond principle. He knows who Daenerys really is. She is Ashara’s daughter. The woman he loved. Killing her would be the final betrayal of everything Ashara suffered.

The Evidence in the Text
Her eyes. Ashara Dayne is specifically noted for her stunning dark violet eyes. Daenerys has striking violet eyes that characters remark on repeatedly. The silver hair comes from Aerys. Put them together and you get Daenerys’s exact coloring — more naturally than pure Targaryen genetics would produce.
Dawn and ice imagery. The Dayne ancestral sword Dawn is pale as milkglass, white, cold, nothing like the dark ripple of Valyrian steel. It predates the Freehold entirely. Comets, of which Starfall is named, are made of ice and rock. The Daynes themselves are ancient beyond most noble houses, possibly First Men in origin, tied to the Old Gods and the Age of Heroes. There is a credible theory that the Last Hero was a Dayne. The Dayne sword, their castle name, all carry cold starlight imagery, not fire.
The name. Daen + erys. Hidden in plain sight.

The Narrative Payoff: TWO Songs of Ice and Fire
This is why the theory matters beyond clever puzzle-solving.
Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen (Fire) and Lyanna Stark (Ice). He is the Song of Ice and Fire.
But the series is clearly pointing us towards both of them being Azor Ahai or Dany being a false dragon.
If Daenerys is the daughter of Aerys Targaryen (Fire) and Ashara Dayne (Ice = ancient, cold starlight, the Last Hero’s line), then she is also a Song of Ice and Fire. Not a song of fire alone. Not a lesser figure in someone else’s prophecy.
Two songs. One from the North, one from the South. Both carrying the blood of the oldest powers in Westeros.
That is a complete story.

Let me know what you guys think and if there’s any problems with it. I’m sure this has been thought of before, but in case it hasn’t I genuinely came to this conclusion on my own so it would be cool if I was the first. If not then let’s at least talk about it!
