Help me choose: University of Marche or University of Messina? 🇮🇹

Hi everyone,

I’m an international student and I’m having a really hard time deciding between the University of Marche and the University of Messina.

Academics are important to me, but I know that I’ll be spending the next few years living in the city too, so I want to hear about the overall experience, not just rankings.

If you’ve studied at either university (or lived in Ancona/Messina), I’d love to know:

• Which university offers a better student experience?
• What’s student life actually like?
• Which city feels more lively and enjoyable?
• How is the nightlife, social scene, and making friends?
• Are there plenty of things to do outside of classes?
• Which city would you choose if you were 18–22 years old and moving to Italy for the first time?

I’m looking for honest opinions, personal experiences, and things you wish you knew before choosing.

If you were in my position, which one would you pick and why?

Thanks in advance—I really appreciate any advice!
