Diverter Issue_HELP!
I’m going through a bathroom remodel and have a three-function shower system with an overhead shower head, a handheld shower, and a tub spout/downspout. Supposedly we have a vavle with an on/off control and a separate diverter to switch between functions. After finally installing the fixtures, we’re unable to divert water from the downspout to either of the shower heads.
The plumber we hired says the downspout should have its own diverter pull and claimed it’s ‘not up to code’ to route water through the main diverter first. That doesn’t sound right to me, since the diverter is designed to select between outlets. I’m wondering if this is actually a code issue or if something may have been installed incorrectly. Took a photo before wall were closed up and I see that the diverter is not connected on the right side? Should water had gone through the diverter first before the downspout?
Please help! Thank you in advance!
