Is this worth the price?

To preface this, I already checked the car out and brought it to a mechanic. Im currently just stuck on if its worth the price he's asking to get these parts fixed!

The guy was originally asking for $10,750 CAD but I managed to get him down to $9,500 as he said that's the lowest he can go. (this was before looking at the car or bringing it to the mechanic)

It has roughly 313k km on the dash and the mechanics said it has been maintained well mechanically wise.

I understand that its a 27 year old car and its gonna have its problems and issues that I am perfectly fine with working on.

To start, The master switch on the driver side door only rolls up and down the driverside window. It doesn't roll down or up any of the other windows. Only on the slightest rarest occurrence (I finally was able to get the left rear window to roll down). The other switches on the other doors rolls its own window down perfectly except for the back right.

The sunroof also doesn't not open, it made a small click sound and wouldn't budge. Along with that, the dome lights inside the car also do not work. Back window though works perfectly.

I smelled something funny as I took it for a drive and as the mechanic mentioned that there is an oil leak that is coming from the rear main seal and it dripped onto the exhaust or whatever. Mechanic mentioned it being excessive but as I talked to the office guy, he said that it would be fine aslong as u don't let it drain the oil completely. That would roughly cost $1,300 in labour (I would attempt at it myself). And that both the front tie rods at the front would need replacing.

Along with that, the rear axle boots have been found torn but not leaking grease. Not immediate but would need to be fixed.

Frame didn't look too bad, some surface rust and you could tell he painted it or put rust protective on. I tried to do the screw driver test (with a metal pen) on part of the rear axle that I thought rotted through but it seemed solid. The mechanics said it seemed pretty solid.

Im just stuck in the middle of what price I should offer him or if it's even worth it and wait for another to come along. I don't really have a car right now also so its putting more pressure.

Also the plastic hood scoop isn't there.

Also he did his own service so there was no records.

What do you guys think? Is this regular stuff? Should I try and get it a couple grand cheaper? or will this be the best bet for me?

preciate y'all fr
