DKV EU Plus and JSIS reimbursement (EU health insurance)

So, I have DKV private insurance (EU Plus) and JSIS.

Last year, I had to pull a tooth and have it replaced by an implant.

The implant cost €1250. JSIS coverage: €777.

The crown cost €1200. JSIS coverage €444.

What did I receive from DKV? €137 in total.

That simply does not seem normal to be. DKV Plus reimburses 20%, most likely based on the assumption that JSIS reimburses 80% of medical and dental costs. But it doesn´t. Only basic exams and interventions are reimbursed 80%. For dental implants, it´s only 50%. I cannot figure out what the amount €137 comes from. It certainly is not 20% of what JSIS covered. It seems completely random.

I am very disappointed in DKV Plus and have decided to cancel it. When I subscribed to it, it was mostly to be covered in case of hospitalisation. A few years ago, I spent ten days in hospital and received a bill amounting to €15,000. Of this, JSIS covered 80% and the rest was deducted from my monthly pay over a six month period. I assumed (quite naively, it would seem) that the EU Plus insurance would have covered what I had to pay out of my own. Now, I am pretty sure that is not the case, and that I would only have received a ridiculous, symbolic sum?
