I think it’s coming along nicely

These areas are small town-ish places pretty far from the city center. I started building a stroad and I’m looking for ideas on what to add next. Also building a chill quiet beach neighborhood

Inspiration is kind of all over the place lol, not even sure what this is anymore.

How do you convey low density/suburban areas?

I used the word "convey" as I mainly focus on creating realistic-ish cities that are nice to look at.

My problem is that the first game’s scale does not really work for the usual endless grid sprawl 8 or even 25 tiles cannot support that look without things starting to look cartoonish.
You end up with a comically small downtown surrounded by a comically small low density area in terms of scale

How do you all deal with that? I know there isn't a one size fits all solution. I have around 400 hours in the game and I do the usual stuff like following the terrain but I still struggle with the transition from high-medium density to low density. That is where my cities kinda break visually

What kind of interchange would you build here?

Both roads are arterials, and I don’t want to use a simple 4 way junction since I’d like to keep traffic flowing continuously in this section

Also I don’t want to mess up the bridge flow by having random ramps coming in or out in the middle so a diamond interchange probably isn’t ideal here

I already tried a stack spaghetti but I didn’t like how it looked

Bonus points if it can be built mostly on the right side, since I’d rather avoid building over the water
