Guides on how to make pretty roads vanilla?

I hate the road making system in this game, at least the vanilla version of it. Is there a way to make my life less hell for doing this? I keep fighting with the snapping and curving. I need to know a way to make prettier curves and more seamless transitions, because this is just ugly.

Edit: To put into context, there is another highway intersection south east from this approximate location.

Since last patch terrain (or rather terrain shadows) are pixelated for me. Its most noticable where ive terraformed using the ingame tools. Ive tried to smooth it away but with very limited success. Anyone else seeing this? Any fixes?

Why is building subways in Cities Skylines 2 so frustrating?!

I upgraded my train station to include a subway, placed stations across the city, and tried connecting the tracks. The rails wouldn't snap unless I constantly messed with the elevation. Then, when I tried using the line tool to actually create the stops, it refused to snap at all. I got so tilted I abandoned the whole transit system.

I want to give it another shot today. What is the trick to making subway tracks and lines actually snap properly? Help!

Windale. No mods (console) low traffic city 130k population. My best city yet!

Traffic rating consistently around 92%, only high density urban buildings, no mods because I'm on console, and no highways going through the city. This is my best city yet!

I got this by following a road heirarchy and making the large roads always go somewhere important, like the other side of the river, outside connections, the stadium, or job centers. Large roads are mainly filled with organic produce buildings for low traffic, medium roads are used for offices, and small roads for housing. Residential and commercial are linked by parks, my main money source and crucial for raising property values. A lot of traffic is on foot or on bikes. The rest is in a robust transit network with busses bringing people to parks or metros, and metros bringing people to other districts. Districts are mainly either residential clusters or job sites like industry or leisure, and are divided by crisscrossing large roads. I have a few 4 way intersections, but I mainly try to use T intersections. I also have a few complex intersections where I try to gove every lane a way to turn without blocking other lanes (see last picture).

It's a European inspired city where I try to avoid grids. It has a nice open, cozy look despite being dense. Unfortunately, I am bad at naming places so the name has no real meaning.

Industrial Traffic

Am I the only one thinking that the traffic industrial areas produce is definitely not enough?

I'm specifically thinking about trucks and freighters. I barely feel the needs for railways, not to mention docks or cargo airports for international transportation.

Also Infra-city transportation is also basically impossibile: the request for goods even from high density commercial areas are just to low to justify the costs and the spaces required to build a dedicated infrastructure other than roads.

Am I the only one thinking that this should be balanced and the volumes, especially for raw materials should go up greatly?

Update Question: Once you have the cash, do you really bulldoze your city to fix its roads?

This feels wrong. A reason why i don't want to focus on roads is because how much i'd have to bulldoze to make it right. Is this how you truly play the game; Build and rebuild?

My Scottish themed city; Aberleecombe

(Yes I know that 'combe' is used in southern England and not Scotland.)

Please tell me what to improve/suggest what I should build in the pockets! Thanks!
