L-theanine+Caffeine is f*cking amazing
I originally started taking it daily back in 2018 for anxiety during college, previously I had ALWAYS suffered from focus and motivational issues, to the point where I failed my prior exams and was fired from my first job. I ended up coming first in my class with the highest grades by far, something I’d attribute to the supplement.
At some point early last year I stopped taking it because I didn’t feel like I needed it anymore for anxiety and I could deal with stress a lot better. Afterwards I genuinely think it had a huge positive impact on my anxiety long term. Things that previously used to cause me stress just didn’t any more.
Anyway, let’s fast forward to now. I recently started a new job that requires 2 solid months of classroom based training and there’s lots of information to take in that we’re tested on. I find it extremely hard to take in and stay focused over long periods of time, despite consuming coffee throughout the day.
On the Friday of the second week we took a group test and I ended up scoring literally bottom of the group. Disappointing.
The following Monday I had fairly bad non-work related anxiety, so I took some L-theanine and caffeine and continued to do so throughout the week and onto the following week also. By the end of the fourth week we had another test which I didn’t have a clue was coming which was supposed to be a lot more intense than the first.
Long story short, I scored highest in the group, by a really significant margin, from being literally lowest.
You could put it down to being conscious of my performance and focusing more based on that, but I know myself I didn’t. Literally nothing changed apart from taking that supplement.
