What is your reason for not moving forward?
Why are you still stuck? Any reason why you are not moving on while others do? What is preventing you in doing so?

Problem/Goal: Seeking advice on how to establish friendships in this day and age for someone who is above 25 years old.
Context: I've grown apart from my high school friends as many of them pursued a field (medicine). I will be leaving my current workplace, and I plan not to associate with my friends there because what I have experienced was not the healthiest environment for me. My college circle was enablers and bystanders of my SA, so I cut my ties with them. The only friends I have are my boyfriend's circle, and I don't want to limit my interactions to just my boyfriend and his circle or be dependent on them. I don't go out drinking and mingling as I live under my mom's roof, so they are strict with me coming home early.
Previous attempts: I've tried reaching out to my previous friends, but I guess we've grown far apart, and I feel like I'm still stuck with the way things were. I've joined organizations related to my field of interest, but there are not many of them that are in my age range (most of them are in their 40s and 50s).
How can you establish new friendships at this age with limited interactions? What advice could you guys provide?
Any help would be appreciated!
