Zane's barrier build carried me through UVHM4 and I finally get why people main him
After sinking about 180 hours into Borderlands 3 on my PS5 I finally decided to stop ignoring Zane and actually leveled him to 72 with the new skill tree changes. Started with a pretty standard barrier + clone drone loadout using the Seein' Dead class mod and the Redistributor, but once I got the Hustle augment and stacked fire rate on everything it just clicked. The clone basically tanks everything while I sprint around like an idiot dumping shots into anointed enemies. Got through the Maliwan Takedown and even the new arms race mode without dying more than a couple times. My current setup is the Frozen Heart shield, the Old God with 100% cryo on ASE, and a Monarch with 200% damage after barrier. Curious if anyone else is running something similar or if there's a better anoint I'm sleeping on for the new mayhem levels. Also, side note, the voice lines still crack me up every time he says "I'm the best at what I do" while getting melted. Would love to hear other Zane mains' thoughts or if Amara's still the queen for bossing.
