Any left-handed players who regret learning left-hand?
Earlier today I contacted a store asking them if they flip a classical guitar for me. He said they can and are happy to do so but since I am new at learning guitar, it would be better to just learn the right -handed way, and he went on to give me more reasons such as
1.) You won't be able to pick up a strangers guitar and play some songs
(I'm left handed in a right handed world, we have learnt to use right handed things in a left handed way)
2.) There already is difficulty for both hands even if you play with dominant hand
(this one just made zero sense to me)
3.) You will have a hard time learning/reading tabs
(?????)
4.) Many left-handed people who choose to learn lefty guitar regret it later
(okay fair but still not a good enough reason for me)
So do we have any people here who learnt left-handed and regret it?
Also, what is it exactly with guitar players and pressuring us left-handed people into playing with our weak hand/arm, I do not understand this obsession..almost all sources I read online, they all are saying "just play right-handed"..but its like, well why don't you play left-handed then?..it's not like there's absolutely no way for us to play left-handed, there are ways yet these people still insist that left-handed people play the right handed way..i just don't understand the reasoning at all..
(i want to play fingerstyle exclusively if that matters)
