When to sell current car on PCP
I am waiting to collect my PCH Model 3 (ordered at the end of April, expected delivery between end of August / start of September). I currently have a 2020 mk8 Golf Style that I own outright with 52k miles. My partner has a 2021 Skoda Kamiq (basic trim) on PCP with 30k miles.
I plan on keeping the golf, selling the Kamiq on Motorway, then hopefully using some of the Kamiq money (maybe £500) to go towards the Tesla first rental payment of about £2.5k. Last I checked the Kamiq is worth about £10,750 and we owe £10,250 on the PCP.
I’m also on Admiral multicar for car and home insurance - it’s a decent deal and want to keep it going.
The golf is in my name and the Tesla will be in my name. Is it possible/sensible to transfer the Golf to my partner as the main driver with Admiral, and I add the Tesla with me as main driver?
Basically just seeking advice on the best way to jump through the hoops for this when it comes to August/September. Cheers
