End of PCP?

I'm curious in the community what's the general consensus on what move to make at the end of the PCP agreement, are most people finding it worthwhile to pay the balloon payment, trade in for a new model and contract or just give it back and start fresh?

Thanks

Charger cover - Rain!

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a charger cover that protects the charging adapter/cable at the charging port on the car? Rain season has arrived, I get a bit anxious with charging overnight.

Tesla Model 3 PCH do prices change much?

Hey,

Been eyeing up an M3 on PCH with one month upfront at £338 per month with one month upfront. Does the price on this change much? I'm not in a major rush so willing to hold out but know delivery times going to likely be 3-4 months so just curious on if Tesla often change pricing here.

Thanks!

Higher mileage M3P - steer clear or good buys?

Hi,

My wife and I currently share a 2022 M3 SR+ on 78k miles. Has a heat pump, LFP battery, ryzen etc so ticks all the boxes.

I'd like something faster as the car I had previously was 400hp, 800nm and 0-60 in about 3.6. The model 3 performance seems to tick all my boxes, but I'd like to buy used and within a 20k budget.

I've seen a fair few, but they're all higher mileage, does anyone here own an older M3P on highish miles and have any advice on whether they're OK to own at that many miles? - Say from 80k to 120k.

Thanks.

How is it possible?

So I been trying different combinations of milage and terms on my lex account. My current deal is 15k miles 24months..however if I put to 3 years it ups the payment by about £150 a month AND if I keep the same term (2yrs) but drop milage to 12k miles it's adds 350 per month..

It makes zero sense to me, surely less milage should lower the payments not double it??

Real world range experiences of lr rwd/awd Highland?

Just trying to find information on actual real world ranges, now I know everyone says Sr is fine but honestly for me with a lr 21 I still be happier if it could do a realistic 350 miles, so many times I've had to stop for an hour or so at a slow charger due to chargers basically being a bit useless in Wales unless your right at the top or along the M4 corridor.

Anyways can the highland lr's actually so 350 to 400 miles?

I'm not ready just yet but thinking of swapping to a lr highland, wondering if I'd miss the awd with a rwd or not and if the range would be noticeably better, for reference when new I did get 330 miles in our 21 lr awd althoguh that was in pretty much perfect conditions

If I'm trying I can still get 300 miles but realistically 240 to 280 I feel confident with.

I often go from south to north Wales and currently either a pitstop for a few hours with a type 2 charger or quite a detour to use either abryristywith or Bangor superchargers.

Got my final invoice for my m3 RWD standard. Ordered June 14th

How soon do you get delivery date? I assume when I do this I get more of a narrow window?

Looking to buy an M3, but not sure on standard vs premium

Has anyone tried/owned both here who can let me know if the step up is worth the additional cost?

I test drove a premium the other day and the sound system was killer! That’s a big plus for me, but as I’m sharing this car with my wife, it’s not a big deal for her.

Gotta admit, I’d prefer a lower monthly cost and not sure it’s worth the upgrade just for the sound system… what’s the standard model sound system like?

How does the standard model compare to the premium overall?

Thanks guys

Salary sacrifice scheme

Can someone kindly tell me the pros and cons of buying a car using the salary sacrifice scheme. I have read a little about it and my main worry is that it will reduce the amout I can get for mortgage, as I am looking to get mortgage in the next few months also. How much reduction in the mortgage will this lead to. Kindly advice. Assume salary is 60k annually, want to buy a new EV vehicle.

Home Charging Options

Thanks for all the replies so far. This community seems really helpful and im really grateful

===================================

Hi. Im soon to be getting my first EV on a 2 year lease

Im reluctant initially to invest in a proper home charging set up due to cost and my low miles per month doesn't really warrant it

I currently have a duel 3 pin plug in my car port which I can use to charge via the mobile charger but is there any other solutions at home?

AI is telling me a blue 32a socket install would provide faster charging and just wanted people's opinions

MY Premium RWD Black LR SS £650/m for 10k miles good value?

Basically the heading - I have been keeping track of Tusker's price from past few weeks/months and it has steeply increased in last couple of months (was £590 couple of months back).

I will be in need for placing an order in Oct/Nov considering all the recent delivery delays as I need to have the car with me in Mar/Apr (ideally April - new FY). I am fully aware that BiK will push it even higher in FY27/28

I am uncertain whether to have the booking done now for an earlier delivery to lock in the price, or should I wait for Oct/Nov/Dec hoping the prices be cooling down a little? I appreciate this will be mere guessing what may happen, only looking for what you would do in this situation.

Thinking of switching from a BMW 420i to a Model 3 — which is the best value?

I currently own a 2021 BMW 420i M Sport and love it. It looks great, drives well, and has loads of tech (heated wheel, HUD, ACC, CarPlay, 360° cameras, Harman Kardon, adaptive suspension, etc.).

I’ve noticed 2021 Model 3 LR AWDs are now around £16k, which is getting hard to ignore. My main gripe with the BMW is running costs — I keep it in Eco mode to save fuel, but I actually want to enjoy driving it. The stiff suspension also makes UK roads feel like I’m constantly damaging the car.

I drove a 2025 Highland M3 RWD and was really impressed by how comfortable and premium it felt. The ventilated seats were great too, although I believe earlier Model 3s can pre-condition the cabin remotely anyway?

For the best value, I’m looking at:
2021 M3 LR AWD ~£16k
2022 M3 LR AWD ~£20k — slightly larger battery, Ryzen, etc.
Highland — tempting, but I’m worried about depreciation.

Is the extra ~£4k for a 2022 LR AWD actually worth it, or would you go for the 2021 and pocket the difference?

Ultimately I just want something comfortable, easy to drive and where I don’t cringe every time I start the car thinking about fuel costs 😂

What's the latest SW update have you got for specifically - Tesla UK Model Y Juniper 2026 Standard Range Model

I am on 2026.20.6.1 and haven't gotten an update since a while. I am waiting eagerly for the summer update.

This is just to check what's the distribution of someone with the same model type in the UK.

Can someone tell em why Leasing is the best?

I'm thinking of putting in a 5k deposit and pay monthly and handing back the car in 4 years. This is a no brainer right? But then why is there PCP? Yes you can buy the car in the end and it don't good if you buy the car in the end of your contract. That is it right? What is the pros for leasing then? Cons too? I'm confused. If leasing is so good and cheap then why isn't everyone doing this? Can someone deep this for me I'm maybe overthinking this

£2500 deposit on PCH?

I have read the terms on Tesla UK website but it doesn’t appear obvious to me whether it applies to PCP only or if it applies to leasing and PCP?

Does anyone know or taken advantage of the deposit contribution on PCH?

Considering swapping my Volvo XC40 for MY as I already have M3 but terrified of the application process because the M3 buying process was genuinely awful.
