Hi all,

New Tesla convert here. Had my first ever EV test drive yesterday in a Model 3 (coming from a 1L manual) and it completely blew my mind. Now I can’t stop thinking about getting one.

Looking at a 2–3 year lease on a Model 3, but I’ll be moving house in the next few months. My main worry is getting hit with a much higher insurance quote at the new address and then being stuck in a PCH agreement I can no longer afford due to insurance (potentially).

A few questions for owners:

1. Has anyone moved address while on a Tesla lease (especially PCH) and seen a big jump (or drop) in insurance? How did you handle it?

2. If you do a trade-in with Tesla and get a valuation, is there a risk they’ll revalue the car lower closer to collection day because of extra mileage accrued in the meantime?

3. Roughly how long is the wait from placing an order to collection on a Model 3 at the moment?

I'm a bit of an OCD type about using good quality washer fluid and my new Model 3 seems to have something from the factory that is absolutely clear and absolutely odourless (that I can smell).

Does anyone know if Tesla sell this as I've not seen a single Tesla branded fluid yet.

If not what do people use?

If I go from the Tesla recommendation and with winter coming if I go from the SDS the best stuff that's easy to get hold of is (randomly) Ford/Omnicraft S20 as it's rated down to -20 and according to the MSDS it's chemically heavy on ethanol but not much else.

First off I have a old Disel bmw, it does the job but I’m gonna have to start travelling to Birmingham for work over the coming months and it’s only £8 a day but I really don’t wanna have to pay CAZ. My budget is like 20-30k. I want something reliable with decent range 250-350miles. And a little bit sporty but it has to be easy clean I’m a ground worker so my car seats will get filthy.

How can I change my Tesla order? I’ve seen AWD is cheaper for PCH M3 is it easy to do?

I know there have been a lot of posts about this lately, so I apologies for adding to the pile.

I have a bit of an issue at the moment. my current VW lease ends on the 3rd of January, so I was hoping I would get a M# premium sometimes in November or December.

I was planning on placing the order next week when I got paid, but the delivery has jumped to February now and I cannot stay without a car for a month.

what are the chances, if I order it now with the current estimate, that the delivery gets pushed earlier and I get it in the next two months?

Hi, I'm currently tempted to order a MY or M3 but I'm thinking wheather I should wait and see if any deals come up towards the end of the year which is normally a good time to buy. I don't need it desperately and can wait for a few months. Have there been any good ones in previous years?

I ordered beg of August white interior ( they changed it to zen grey ) stealth grey colour . It was around 460 per month on lease 24 months , with 12 months up front . Noticed on the Tesla website bizzarely the premium AWD spec was cheaper (!!!) than the rwd. Called them , indeed they confirmed the price has dropped .

Asked them to reset the leasing agreement (Santander ) , redid it and now my monthly is 100 squid cheaper !

I found the cloth material to not be very padded and the material didn’t seem particularly soft. Was bothering my right leg.

How are you finding the cloth seats? Im not particularly tall but quite large, so maybe that’s the issue?

I’m considering leasing a new Model Y Premium AWD directly through Tesla UK on a two-year PCH agreement.

As its list price is over £50,000, would there be an extra expensive car supplement to pay? Is that included in the lease payments, or charged separately?

For anyone leasing through Tesla:
- Who is the leasing provider? Is it Santander?
- Does your agreement include road tax for the full lease term, including any expensive car supplement?
- Where can I read the full terms before placing an order or paying the order fee?

I’d like to understand the total cost before committing. Thanks!

Does anyone have a solution for the door covers for the official pet liner in the Model 3

Every time i close the window the window goes up and they fall off.

So I’ve owned my model 3 LR for a week now and can’t believe how bad all the ACC features are on this car to the point they aren’t worth using. A few things that I’ve noticed so far:
Autopilot/steer just randomly disengages for no reason
Car aggressively speeds up/breaks
Can’t switch lanes without autopilot disengaging!!! (This is dangerous as the car will just start breaking really hard on the motorway)
Going round slight corners disengages.
I’ve had it just randomly slam on the breaks for no reason as well.

In my opinion a car that is meant to be high tech should be able to build a decent ACC systems considering they are able to drive themselves in the US but we can’t get a functioning ACC over here? It’s incredibly frustrating.

My old 2016 skoda superb’s ACC blows this one out of the water..

Also is anyone able to tell me if the car is capable of keeping you from drifting out of lane without have auto steer engaged ? My 2020 golf did this as standard.

Overall the car has some really nice features and is a joy to drive , but I wouldn’t recommend for somebody who relies on ACC quite a lot like I do.

That was a close one. Took my son to football this morning, he was using my phone while on the drive and by the time we got to where he was playing my phone was on like 16%. Me thinking nothing of it, I started using my phone during the game like I had 100% battery.

Then it happened, my phone died, and it never crossed my mind that that would be a problem, the game ended and as the players where doing there customary penalty shootout (u8s) I decided to put my chair back in the car, tried to open the boot, nothing! Then suddenly it dawned on me I need my phone to get in the car!! Panic set in both key cards are at home and I’m 30 miles away in an area with little to no reception, the air turned extremely blue at this point. After 15 seconds of straight swearing I manage to turn my phone on and there is 2% left great I can get in I thought….

NOPE! More panic set in, I start asking other parents if they have a phone charger “yeah sure, but it’s USB C” (I have iPhone 13 mini which has a lightning connection) the panic at this moment was in overdrive. Then the team manger say “I’ve got wireless charging” rejoice I can feel the colour in my face starting to return he gets the phone to 7% and I frantically unlock the phone and open the app as quickly as my fingers will allow, after a moment of waiting for reception to kick in the app opens, I dash to the car and try to open the door.

It opens “thank the lord” I think, I put my foot on the brake to get going, but the car is telling me I need the key card or I can set up my key on the phone. The air again starts to turn blue but after a small moment I push the brake again and it asks me for my pin to drive. Problem over, cased solved.

Moral of the story don’t be like me, think before you let your phone die and don’t have your keycard as backup. Thank you for listening to me TED talk 😂

Has anyone taken advantage of the latest PCH offer of £499 upfront and £499 for 24 months for the MY AWD in stealth grey (8,000 miles per year).

I’ve recently ordered a Diamond Black RWD through salary sacrifice however upon doing the calculations the overall costs when you add insurance and road tax to the PCH figure are very close, so tempted to cancel my order and go for the AWD. Only downside is that the AWD is forecast for Feb-Mar and my RWD is due to be delivered in Jan.

My first EV. It's a late 2023 Model Y Long Range AWD in recession white. Tesla CPO with 35k miles. This will be replacing our 2019 Mazda CX5 2.0 Sport GT in family duties. I have a 2021 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible as our fun car.

Now I just need to wait for a collection date which should only be a few days depending on how busy the workshop is.

Just completed my test drive of the Model 3. It was the best car I have ever driven. Can anyone give me recommendations for which year I go for? Anything to watch out for? Do I just go lease one with the deals atm? Any tips or advice

Found a RWD (basic?) for 17.5k, 70000 miles, 2023 (amd ryzen version)

Tesla Shanghai started producing updated MY with the following changes (known so far):

- TL2 front motor rated at 176 kW, versus 142 kW for the previous unit: +34 kW / ~46 hp at the front motor (4.6 sec 0–60 mph on Tesla UK today, 4.3 sec 0–100 km/h on Tesla Shanghai)

- PCS2/V2L

I ordered two cars at the end of Sept (MY Premium AWD, Stealth Grey, 19" and MY Premium AWD , Quicksilver, 20"). EDD Dec 20 - Jan 12

I wam wondering if my cars are likely to come from Berlin or Shanghai and if I have any chances of getting PCS2/V2L + revised MY27 AWD motors as I don't have VIN's and my cars are likely to be built later this year.

Is there a way in the app or car to only list official Tesla chargers where I can use supercharger miles up?
In the app I’ve toggled third party off & selected the three lightening bolts but others still show.
