Delivery Scheduling

Hi all,

The EDD for my MY AWD is 26/05-02/06 at Bluewater. I got a VIN assigned last week and no license plate as of yet.

How soon before the EDD were others able to schedule their collection? Imagine it needs to license assigned prior but getting quite close now.

HW3 FSD UK subscription

So I have a 2023 HW3 and I am very aware HW3 is lacking behind in cameras and capability, however apparently today is the last day you can purchase outright the full £6,800 price for our very slimmed down version of FSD in the UK but say if I wanted to try it tomorrow for the still pricey sum of £100 (there or thereabouts) because now I can, what would it offer us in the UK and does anyone use it on HW3.

Can anyone provide a good description? Specifically HW3s limitations and UK roads. How does it perform on the motorway?

Bought Tesla with FSD, confirmed it was there, on delivery it’s gone!

Hi all,

I’m hoping someone can help steer me in the right direction.

I bought a Tesla model Y today. 2023 model RWD model.

The car was advertised as having FSD, all the screenshots show self driving included package in software on the car, when I went to view the car it had it enabled too.

It went into Tesla for a horn repair yesterday as the dealer noticed an issue with the horn on the day I went to view. It’s then been delivered to me today by the dealer, I’ve paid for it etc and gone into settings and the FSD features are gone.

I think they’ve removed it when they’ve sorted the horn as they’ve done a software update on the car too.

As far as I was aware, it was tied to the cars VIN and as I say, the listing said it had FSD and was a huge reason I bought this particular car.

Anyone else had similar and had Tesla rectify it? Or if not, managed to get any money back?

I’m in the UK.

Thanks all!

Are these cars coming with a mobile connector?

I see mixed answers on this, so want to ask people who have been receiving the latest Model 3/Y refreshes this year - are they coming with mobile connectors?

I have a wall connector but my install location is 15m from my house (driveway area is opposite side of my lawn) and my electrician isn't free for a while yet, so I may well need to use an extension lead and mobile connector...plus, I just need a mobile connector!

Delivery Date

For anyone who has ordered in May, has your Aug - Sep delivery window been narrowed down to specific dates?

If so, did you just get Standard RWD, or have you made changes?

Santander Credit Decision Pending?

Hi all,

I placed a PCH order on Monday and submitted the application form with Santander. AFAIK everyone gets approved within minutes. It’s been 2 days and I still haven’t heard back from them. I’ve never missed any payments but I have a relatively short employment history as I’m young.

Has anyone got experience with this? Thanks

Query about PCP paperwork and trade-in with Black Horse

Just received digital copies of the PCP contract for new Model 3 for me to sign but it doesn’t list the trade-in figure.

The finance details in the Tesla app does.

Anyone had this experience and able to advise if it will be included or should I hold off signing and visit Tesla (Black Horse say I should visit dealer if I’ve any questions)

Thanks

Horrible roadside assistance

Currently stuck in the south of France on the fourth day of having no car. The roadside assistance promised me the world and how they would take care of me and four days later, no support from Tesla. What a joke. Didn’t know they were this incompetent.

Insurance prices

Currently paying £70 for my Lexus is300h. Looking to buy MY 23 LR. Admiral wants £140!!! A fucking month for insurance. The only other option is Hastings for £85 a month. Do you have any tips, ideas why Admiral is so expensive and then the only cheaper option is Hastings at £85?

Considering EV, but with all insurance prices, road tax being 200 comapring to 20 on my Lexus, plus the introduction of pay per mile scammy thing it just doesnt add up. Even with free charging at work, i would spend all the 'savings' on other expenses...

Is buying a used 2019 (69) Model 3 worth it?

Apologies if this has been has recently I can’t seem to find any information!
Looking at buying a used 2019 (69 plate) Tesla Model 3 and just wanted some opinions from owners.

The one we’re viewing is:
- SR+
- ~70k miles
- 1 owner
- dealer sale
- battery warranty until 2027

I’ve gone down a rabbit hole online and now can’t tell if 70k miles on a Model 3 is perfectly fine or the point where expensive stuff starts happening 😅

Main thing worrying me is battery longevity. I know replacement costs can be huge, but then I also see loads of people saying they’re on 150k+ miles with no issues.

Would you personally buy a 70k mile 2019 Model 3 now?
Anything specific I should check or ask during the viewing/test drive?

Cheers!

Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD (Non Premium)

Is there any testing of this vehicles speed compared to the stated figures. It has the same top speed as the premium version but the same 0-60 as the standard rwd variant. Is there something programmed in to limit it to 6.9 seconds or is it faster than advertised? Any real world experience compared to the standard rwd, does it feel the same?

Model 3 RWD v AWD (milage specific

Hi guys - sorry for yet another RWD v AWD question..

I understand the differences between the two so not hashing old ground there.

My question is on a roughly £16k budget I can get a AWD with around 70-80k miles or a RWD with 50-60k miles.

With regards to longevity and assuming any purchase would be with circa 90-93% battery health (ideally), is there any benefit of the reduced 20k miles with a RWD?

My daily commute is 45 miles round trip, 5 days a week, on mix of country roads/motorway.

Cheers and sorry if this specific Q has been asked before, I couldn't see it after a quick search so hoping not.

Edit: looking at 2021 models onwards for heat pump

Wood Trim in car

We like what we like and as much as I have tried, I'm just not feeling the wood trim on the dashboard and door cards. I don't know what it is but for me I'm getting Rover SD1 vibes with the wood and I need it to be gone.

I've been on eBay and Amazon looking for replacements but all I'm seeing are carbon fibre covers. Can anyone point me in the direction of plain black/grey as close OEM or even alcantara covers.

Thanks 👍

Dog owners - pics?!

So all being well my car comes between 3rd and 10th June- no delivery booked but vin showing in tost.

Have a bmw 330e currently so used to electric around town etc but the main issue was NO boot space!

I plan to use the boot for my 3 small dogs for longer trips. Planning to use the tether points in the boot and buy proper crash tested harness and leads.

Anyone else with dogs got any pics of their boot setup?

Delivery date just jumped back months

I’ve ordered a Model Y standard, and when ordering it had said estimated May delivery. For the past two weeks it had been giving me a 5 day window, yesterday it was the 15th-20th May. I wake this morning to it now saying late July early August.
That revised timeline does not work for me at all. Due to it being the standard model, I changed nothing. Strangely there is a matching spec “in transit” on their new inventory list for my depot.

Is this something people have experienced, is it suddenly going to match me to the in transit one? Or should I speak to them about changing from new to order to buying this new inventory one if available.

Purposely cut off on the motorway in my Model 3

I was driving down the motorway yesterday and a young lad in a modified Seat Ibiza decided to overtake me while I was in the middle lane - when he overtook he basically cut me off, there was like a foot of space in front of my Model 3, he almost clipped my car. This is the second time someone has done this in the 2 months I've owned my Model 3.

And it got me thinking, I have a mutual friend who loves ICE cars and will trash talk all electric cars, and I recall him bragging that he liked to cut off Teslas on the motorway to try and get them to automatically slam on the brakes when cruising. In this case I didn't have autopilot on, and the kid in the Seat looked like a clown when I subsequently overtook him and gave him a look that shook him to the point he slowed down completely.

Is this a thing where people like to basically brake check teslas? I've only owned the thing for 2 months so I'm fairly new to this.

2021 AWD Tesla 3 Long Range - Less than 180 miles on 90% charge

Hi,

I have an 2021 AWD Tesla 3 Long Range had it about 4 weeks, love the car but the range is bad based on the miles I am getting on 90% of the battery.

Ran a health check and came back with 93% which seems good. Telsa service suggested cycling 100% charge and running it to 10% 4 times to get the mileage.

https://preview.redd.it/j3z6cvycmw1h1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a69372de3ebd50ffd0bd0ebe6ae7982fa2ae9dc5

I do not accelerate hard and doing around 60 on dual carriageways, the driving has been a mixture of country road, around town and some dual carriageways. The past 4 weeks have not been particularly cold where I am at.

This cannot be normal, tires are inflated at the right level and not dead body in the boot weighting the car down, just me driving.

Anyone have experience of this and if so have they resolved it, did I leave something on that screws with the battery or are they just so far off their advertised range 364 miles which I know is bull but would expect 250-300?
