Scanned my son with Pop4 3DGS mode
He moved during the scan so there's a few artifacts. Pretty impressive nonetheless.

I literally just got it out of the box and did a laser scan. No prep, no setup, just grabbed an object I've scanned before, threw it on the table and scanned.
Had a play with the 3DGS stuff too and that's awesome. I need to understand it some more though.
More to come.
Yay! Failed the MoT (UK legal road safety test) on the usual S550 Mustang issue of handbrake mechanism has seized on the passenger side. Stupid bloody design that you would have though they would have fixed for the 2018 facelift, but oh no. Gotta have an S650 for that.....
Oh well, car now has a "do not drive" due to the failure for brakes so I need to wait. A cheeky call to Motorsport and Performance has a calliper hopefully on its way to me ASAP.
Made this by request of a subreddit member. Figured others might want it too.

It's a small, dummy battery cover. Not full length. Stops rain, junk, fluff, etc. getting inside your drone when you have all the batteries on charge or whatever.
I don't understand. I have a set of Mic minis and I recently bought a set of Mic3s. I was hoping that the Minis would connect to the Mic3 receiver on channels 3 and 4 but alas, they aren't compatible.
This seems really stupid and not a technical limitation seeing as all Mics can connect to the Mic mobile receiver, the Osmo Pocket, and other DJI cameras. Just the stand alone Mic3 receiver cannot do this.
I was hoping the newly released Mini2s could do it but no, they connect to everything else but not the Mic3 receiver.
Such a lovely feeling trackball. I love how preceise it is compared to the MX Ergo S I'm normally using. I just wish the gestures worked the same way the MX Ergo ones do.
For example, on MX Ergo I can have different gesture sets on different buttons. I have browser navigation gestures on one button, and window navigation gestures on another button. I suppose, you can have many more gestures on a single button with the IST rather than just up, down, left, and right, that MX Ergo supports.
Great trackball though.
I spun up my Avata 360 for the first time yesterday and was really disappointed to discover that you cannot use the head tracking feature to look around when using the FPV remote 3. You have to be using the stupid motion controller.
It's a real shame that this isn't a feature and kind of ruins the 360 for me. I can't unlearn decades of flying with twin sticks. The motion controller is just too imprecise.
The sad thing is, I can't see any technical reason for this limitation because it's a 360 degree camera. It's not like head tracking on Avata 2 or other drones where the entire craft rotates when you move your head.
