Indigo controller decoloration / fading

I recently bought a pair of GC controllers from a friend and one of the controllers had a notorious decoloration in the front, I tried washing the case but it didn't work, is there any way I can restore the original color?

(BTW is this a T1 T2 or T3 controller?)
