Telling people what you do for a living, is it safe?
I am about to start my career with the police, and I have only told, so far, my closest friends and family.
I can see so many people are very negative about the police, and I am torn between being more open about It or not. Whenever it has come up in an environment of people I am not close with I just avoid the question about what new career I'm going into (for example, the job I'm leaving. People ask me where I'm off to next, and I have been evasive).
What have your experiences been?
