What’s it like living near the Greenbelt in North Redondo?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering buying a home in North Redondo, particularly near the Greenbelt, and I’m trying to get a better feel for what it’s actually like living there.
It’s easy to evaluate the homes themselves, but much harder to understand what the neighborhood is like throughout the year.

A few questions:
What’s the neighborhood like on the Fourth of July? Are there block parties, BBQs, kids riding bikes, or is it mostly pretty quiet?

How is Halloween? Is it a popular area for trick-or-treating?

Do people decorate for Christmas? Since there are so many townhomes, I’m curious whether people still put up lights and decorations or if it’s fairly low-key.

Are there any neighborhood traditions or annual events that make the area feel like a community?

For those who live there or have lived there, what has your experience been? Does it feel like a place where neighbors know each other and kids spend time outside together?

I’m really trying to understand what day-to-day life is like beyond the real estate listings. I’d appreciate hearing both the positives and the negatives. Thanks!
