Geographically Central America is considered part of North America, and stretches from the the Isthmus of Tehuantepec to the Darien Gap. I will die on this hill.

It includes the southern states of Mexico and all of Panama.

The Isthmus of Tehuantepec is the narrowest part of Mexico between the Atlantic and the Pacific.

The Darien Gap is a natural barrier but not the narrowest part of Panama.
