I’m (probably) going to be laid off soon
My SM laid off our customer experience manager of more than 12 years when we did the management reorganization. up until the day SM actually laid her off, SM was promising to update her title to sales manager but never getting around to it, even making her fill out some manager expectation survey beforehand to hide that she was on the way out (and we found emails with our DM that confirm this was all planned months in advance).
Today, I’m the other Sales Manager and she is doing the exact same thing in resolving an issue with my newly-eligible benefits, has been accusing me of messing up things that weren’t my responsibility on days I wasn’t even working, and for the first time has actually been interviewing sales managers. So the clock is ticking now before I’m out of here. I’d give almost anything to be out from under SM’s wretched kingdom, but despite having been applying for ages now, I don’t have anything else lined up and my family definitely will need income fast. Just wanted to vent.
