Not Happy about the AI Persona Thing, Will they Ban the Gorillaz?

I donate almost all my earnings with my music, and I was never in this for fame or publicity. I prefer my privacy. My music and fans are awesome. They all know I'm the Producer behind my music. I like to use Female voices and Male voices in my songs, so I just hide behind an Alien Warlock character, and it's been working out. But now Spotify is calling that a persona. I never lied and said I was my character.

I agree that people shouldn't hide behind fake ai generated names, but they are saying they will punish you for any AI art. Pretty much punish anyone for not putting a picture of them. I dont want my picture on the internet.

So now I had to change my Profile header, to my donations which are animal shelters. But this loses the fun and world I built for my listeners, i created an avatar, to be uplifting. No race no religion. I even change my character to all different types of cultures, all because I get to create an AI persona, this was awesome, and I wasted a lot of time and money, building something my fans absolutely love, and have helped so many donations and animal shelters.

But now they take away algo help, i have zero reason to continue making music.

They should put "THE BEST" Music on the algorithm, not what makes them look the best.

How many monthly listeners should I be adding per day with meta ads?

11 Streams per listener i'm happy with, my saves, i'm happy with. But my monthly listeners are climbing really really slow right now, like 3-10 per day. I feel like my music is good, i listen to it next to other big artists. Work hard on each song. I have 1.5 albums if that makes it better to read stats. I spend $20 a day on adds, about 150 CPRs a day. My monthly listeners are climbing almost daily to 53%. I'm Genre Fluid artist, but its mostly all Pop/HipHop/Trap/Country. Artist Score is 18, highest song is 29. I think i can get artist score up if i delete some songs from my first album, which i feel aren't up to my current standards anymore, as we all constantly improve..

How Do You Know If Your Music Is Great?

This is a piggyback off the other thread who is saying you shouldnt market unless your music is great, but the question we ask ourselves daily is our music great?

Aunt Sally said it was, spotify replays it, your neighbor Henry dances in the kitchen. But lets be honest we are our hardest critics, so in your opinion what makes a song great.

I think this is important to ask, because when we market, we market 2-3 songs, and choosing those songs are hard.

I'll start:

  1. Stats - I believe 2.4 Replay is good to great, i think 3.0 is really good, and 4 is insane. Now yes, if your doing lofi, this number can be 20. But if you have a pop song and are doing 3-4 amazing.

This is the stat I USE THE most. Then Saves, then Playlist. I think at end of day, Replay value is the most important, my best song sits at 4.2, my good songs sit around 2.6.

Careful cause these numbers change drastically from different sources, META you'll get high numbers, spotify radio youll get one shots, so know your numbers...

  1. Do you like it? Sounds cliche, but after a month of making the song i go back to it, i'm like this is good, i'd play the shit out of this song. This one isn't as easy, because I DO make songs, that arent exactly my style for the female demographic. The problem is, we become so hard on ourselves, that at some point, we hate all our songs lol, and want to start over, thats our perfection coming in.

  2. Good Songs aren't the only thing, theres a ton of good songs, it's multifaced

  3. Does the intro INSTANTLY hook?

  4. Do the Lyrics Grab?

  5. Does it have replay value?

  6. Is it short enough to be a hit, or does it drag?

  7. Does it have a 15 second clip to put on an AD and get a good CTR?

We are marketers and musicians, we have to do both even in our song.

Look forward to all your responses
