I want to buy a Nord piano 6. Change my mind.

I own a MP7se and an MP11se. I’m looking for a digital portable piano that’s lightweight < +- 20kg with the ability to update sounds. For me, the Nord was always the clear winner in terms of sound during comparisons online. I like the piano patches on high end Kurzweils as well.
I’m playing the piano for about 15 years now.

What would be a better alternative for the Nord Piano 6 and having a good action that’s decent enough to practice on as well?

What kind of Skywatcher is this?

This is an 8 inch scope I came across a second hand website for around 280 euro.

The focuser seems to sit at the right side, opposite of what’s usually the case with the classic 8 inch Skywatcher.
There are no handles but it uses a handscrew.

Has anyone seen this kind of ‘variant’ before? Is it an older model?

Is the performance of dobsonians in high bortle areas worth the bulkiness?

In my search for a telescope, I have been looking at different types, mainly maksutovs and Dobsonians.

What I keep wondering is, under real-life Bortle 5–7 skies, does bigger aperture really make that much difference for deep-sky observing? Or is light pollution such a big factor that it makes more sense to focus on planets and double stars instead?

I read very mixed opinions. Some people say that even an 8” or 10” dob struggles with faint objects and structure under suburban skies because light pollution is the main limiting factor. In that case, a smaller and more portable scope could actually be more enjoyable since it’s easier to grab for spontaneous observing sessions or a quick walk to the park.

Others say I should go as large as possible no matter what.

I sometimes hear that light pollution matters more than aperture, so I wonder if a Dob would really show that much more than a Mak in my conditions, especially considering the extra bulk and setup.

The thing is; I’ve never actually compared them side by side myself.

So I’m mostly looking for real world experiences from people who own different scopes and used them under similar skies and not just the theory about “bigger is better.”

Did the larger Dob genuinely show much more on deep-sky objects? And was the difference worth the loss in portability and spontaneity?

HelloFresh portion size part 2

Vegetables: only a few cherry tomatoes, 200g spinach, 200 grams of ricotta and some seasoning.

Beef for 2 persons?

Coming home from a long workday, made couscous from HelloFresh. This amount was supposed to serve two people? Good for people who want to lose weight but not for me!

I’m seeing a second-hand Skymax 127 for 600 euro. And possibly I can reduce the price.

My first choice would still be an 8 inch dobsonian, but because of having no garden, I’m considering something more portable.

Plus points I see:
- small, goes into a backpack.
- I see myself walking with it to a nearby park (+-800m)
- looks good for planetery views
- good mount; looks nicer and more professional than a tabletop dobson.

Downsides:
- small fov (not great for nebula?)
- smaller aperture.
- Is it even possible seeing deepsky with it?

I was hoping to see at least some structure in nebulaes. For example: distinguishing the cloud of andromeda (as a grey smudge) from surrounding space and not only the center bulge.

If not, what would practically be the minimal size to see this, also taking into consideration light polution (5-7 bortle).

How does HelloFresh determine portion sizes? (Belgium based). I’m quite skinny but often eat what would be considered a “meal for two,” especially after a long workday. I just received my first box, and the portions felt pretty small, even though each meal is labeled as serving two people. And I’m below average sized…

I’m curious how HelloFresh decides on these portion sizes. It’s hard to imagine a one-size-fits-all approach makes sense, since people’s calorie needs vary widely depending on factors like activity level, lifestyle, and type of work, sports, body weight…

I feel like I need to go to the store to buy some extra meat.

Also, a salesperson at my door told me I’d be able to pay using meal vouchers, which unfortunately turned out not to be true. As a result, I’m now spending significantly more on food than I did before.

I was looking into 8 inch dobsons but portability for me is also tempting. While I wanted the power of a dobson, taking a bag with the telescope and walk to a nearby park after a long work day seems something I would consider the more I start thinking about it.

I found a Skywatcher 120/600 telescope for 250 euro. Would this be a good deal?

Bortle 7 skies. Bortle 5 half hour drive.
Preference: general telescope to discover what I like the most. Both planetery and deepsky.
