Hi! Gen-X female looking for a sister! <yay!>

Hi. I’ve never had any kind of sibling, ever, in this entire lifetime of mine. Also, I’ve very little, other family—which makes for a lot of loneliness, feelings of not-belonging, etc.

Currently living in the mid-Atlantic U.S., I’m a professional (classical) musician & instructor (& I used to be an environmental lawyer—so I’m into a lot of stuff, generally, I guess). By the way, the “classical musician” thing is certainly NO indication I’m some “hoity-toity” person—I‘m DEFinitely not at all—I enjoy most music, & my interests are fairly wide-ranging. I can be very nutty/silly, and I’m NOT impressed by “status” or socioeconomic this-or-that. I like nice, truly compassionate, authentic people.

I’m active (run or swim almost daily), which I started again in hopes of helping my mood. I’ve really stuck with it, but it hasn’t helped my mood much—I still feel really sad & anxious a lot. It’d be so great to have a mutually supportive (sibling-type/great-friend-type) relationship.

I’m very nice & open-minded/accepting [just NOT into creepy], & I can be very fun/silly/whatnot.

Is there a Gen-X’er on this sub who might possibly enjoy a good sibling-type (preferably sister—but, I don’t know, maybe brother?) relationship with me? We could get to know each other & maybe try it out.

OK. Thank you. I hope you’re doing well—or at least hanging in there!
