I spent months building a side project because I was tired of seeing prize platforms with impossible odds
Over the last few months, I’ve been quietly building a project called Bellouris.
The idea came from constantly seeing online prize platforms advertising massive rewards, but then finding out there were sometimes 100,000+ entries competing for the same prize.
At that point, it starts feeling less like an opportunity and more like donating money for entertainment.
So I started thinking:
What if there was a simpler system where:
entries stayed low-cost (£0.99)
entry pools were capped smaller
and people actually felt like they had a realistic chance when entering?
That turned into Bellouris.
The platform focuses on:
£0.99 entries
cash prizes and Apple tech
smaller controlled entry pools
straightforward draws without unnecessary complexity
I’m not pretending it’s going to become some billion-pound company overnight, but seeing it finally go live after months of work has honestly been a pretty satisfying feeling.
What surprised me most is how difficult it is to build trust online now — especially in industries where people immediately assume everything is fake or impossible.
Fair enough honestly.
That’s why I’ve been focusing more on:
transparency
keeping things simple
and making the platform feel premium instead of spammy
Still early days, but it’s been one of the most interesting projects I’ve worked on.
Curious what people think about the idea of capped-entry prize platforms compared to the massive national-style draws most companies run now.
